District Collector A. Siri on Tuesday offered traditional silk clothes to Sri Jogulamba Sameta Bala Brahmeswara Swamy temple at Alampur in Jogulamba Gadwal district of neighbouring Telangana State on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State government on the occasion of Dasara festivities.
Dr. Siri had darshan of the presiding deities of Sri Jogulamba and Bala Brahmeswara Swamy and presented the silk clothes. Temple priests offered traditional ‘purnakumbha’ welcome to the Collector on her arrival at the temple. The priests offered ‘Vedasrvichanam’ and gave tirtha prasadams after the Collector presented silk clothes.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Siri said it has been a tradition to offer silk clothes to the temple during the Dasara Brahmotsavams at the temple.
