Tamil superstar Vijay, who recently launched his political party TVK, released a video three days after the tragic stampede at his rally in Karur in Tamilnadu, where 41 people lost their lives.
In his message, Vijay stressed that no untoward incidents occurred at any of his other rallies, raising questions about why only Karur witnessed such a tragedy. He said the people of Karur are bringing the truth to light.
Addressing Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin directly, Vijay stated, “Chief Minister sir, if you have vendetta plans, do anything to me. Don’t touch my leaders. I will be at home or in office.”
He explained that he initially wanted to return to Karur immediately to meet the families of the victims but refrained to avoid any further tense or unacceptable situations. “I only wanted to go back to Karur to visit the families but avoided it because my presence shouldn’t lead to issues. I will soon meet the families of the victims,” he said.
Reiterating his concerns, he added, “There was no mishap in other districts of my political tour, but why only Karur? The truth will come out soon.”
Vijay concluded by saying that this incident has only strengthened his political resolve. He also thanked the political leaders and parties who extended their support during this time.
