Vijayawada: The cabinet committee on economic affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved a proposal to establish four Kendriya Vidyalayas in Andhra Pradesh. The new KVs will be set up at Mangasamudram in Chittoor, Bairuganipalle under Kuppam mandal in Chittoor district, Palasa in Srikakulam district, and Sakhamuru in the capital, Amaravati.Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu thanked PM Modi and Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan for sanctioning four new KVs for Andhra Pradesh. He said that the initiative will significantly enhance access to quality education in previously underserved regions of AP, while also addressing the growing needs of areas with a substantial presence of central govt employees.Union minister for civil aviation Rammohan Naidu submitted various proposals received from the MPs to the govt and requested the Prime Minister to allot new KVs for AP. The KVs are likely to start operations from the next academic year.
