BHPian supernova105 recently shared this with other enthusiasts: I am a 90s kid so I won’t be able to comment with certainty on what cars were part of the early 90’s. However around 1999-2004, I can clearly remember the classics namely:118NE,Ford Escort,Ford Mondeo,The Type-1 DOHC Honda City VTEC,Opel Astra,Mercedes C180/ 200 Kompressor,Gangster looking W124 E-Class,The S-Class the list goes on!Still remember peeking through the tinted windows of cars back in my childhood to view the speedometer’s upper limit, upmarket interiors, wooden garnish on the dash and the likes. Seeing the Ford Escort with its 200 or 220 Km/h speedometer if I recall correctly, would make me feel butterflies in my stomach I used to live in Koregaon park, so due to the Poonawalla’s and the foreigners and Mumbaikars that would visit Pune a lot, many classics that the affluent people or Seths preferred would be spotted regularly. This is still the case in the current day since we can regularly spot classics and imported supercars alike in Kalyani Nagar and Koregaon park.
