Bringing awareness on GST 2.0 benefits among masses essential, says Nellore MP

Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy underlined the need to create awareness among the masses on the reforms initiated by the Union government under GST 2.0 and the benefits accrued to the common man by this initiative.

He was speaking after releasing the pamphlet brought out by the State government, in the presence of Joint Commissioner (GST) Kiran Kumar and Assistant Commissioner Somasundara Prasad, here on Tuesday.

Mr. Reddy said the move would not only bring down the prices of essential commodities, but also push up the purchasing capacity of the common public, besides helping them back up enough savings. He also called upon the educated sections of society to take up the responsibility of educating the illiterate on the reforms.

The officials extended a formal invite to Mr. Reddy on the awareness programme conducted by the department on October 8. Auditors Association President Venkateswara Rao, office-bearer Krishna Mohan and others also took part.
