With match-day two of the Europa League complete and the first round of matches over for the Conference League, Roma, Bologna and Fiorentina currently sit in a mixed bag of positions in their respective league tables.

Roma lost 1-0 to Lille tonight at the Stadio Olimpico, with an early goal from Icelandic forward Haraldsson denying the Giallorossi three points. A late flurry of retaken penalty saves for Roma caused further heartbreak, as they failed to build upon their opening game victory against Nice.

Bologna, meanwhile, took the lead against a strong Freiburg side but the Bundesliga outfit grew into the game in the second half, converted a penalty, and left the Rossoblu feeling lucky to come away with even a point when the full-time whistle blew.

Fiorentina had a more comfortable time than their fellow Serie A teams tonight, with a 2-0 win over Czech side Sigma in their Conference League opener.

Where do Roma, Bologna and Fiorentina stand in the Europa League & Conference League after MD2 & MD1

Roma currently sit in 15th place in the Europa League table, with 3 points after 2 games. Bologna, meanwhile, are currently 27th, with just one point from their opening two games.

In the Conference League, Fiorentina’s 2-0 win sees them go 8th place after their first game, in what La Viola will hope will be the first of many victories this campaign.
