The Consulate General of India in Houston expressed condolences over the death of an Indian student from Hyderabad who was shot dead in Texas. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Consulate identified the victim as Chandrasekhar Pole, saying it was “deeply saddened” by the tragic incident.
“Consulate General of India, Houston, deeply condoles the tragic death of Mr. Chandrasekhar Pole, an Indian student from Hyderabad, who was killed in a shooting incident in Denton, Texas,” the Consulate said.

It added that officials are in contact with the student’s family and are providing all possible assistance.
“We are in touch with the family and extending all possible assistance. Local authorities are investigating the incident, and we are following up closely with them,” the Consulate said.
Local police have launched an investigation into the shooting. Further details about the circumstances of the incident are awaited.
