Maruti Suzuki e Vitara exports cross 6,000 units in 2 months Maruti Suzuki commenced exports of the made-in-India e Vitara in August this year. Since then, the carmaker has shipped over 6,000 units of the electric SUV to global markets. Maruti Suzuki exported 6,068 units of the e Vitara from the Gujarat plant in the period of August and September. The first batch of cars was shipped to Europe and the UK. It consisted of over 2,900 units. The Gujarat factory will serve as a global production hub for the e Vitara. The facility is equipped with an automobile multimodal cargo terminal with direct connectivity to the Mundra port. It will also cater to the Japanese domestic market. The e Vitara will go on sale in the Indian market. It will compete with the Tata Curvv.ev, Hyundai Creta Electric, and the MG ZS EV. The e Vitara will be available in single- and dual-motor versions. The single-motor 49 kWh version will have 142 BHP, while the 61 kWh version will offer 172 BHP. The dual-motor 61 kWh version will have a combined output of 178 BHP and 300 Nm.
