TG promoting ethical, sustainable development, and a role model: Industries Minister

Telangana has emerged as a role model for other States in promoting ethical and sustainable industrial development, Industries and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu said here on Friday.

Addressing the inaugural of JITO Connect 2025, a three-day event organised by the Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO), Hyderabad Chapter, the Minister said this , inviting entrepreneurs to explore investment opportunities in Telangana. It is one of the most conducive States for industrial growth in India, he added.

“Telangana is not waiting for the future, it is building the future,” Mr. Sridhar Babu said, adding the State has become a treasure trove of opportunities on the back of a strong policy framework, robust infrastructure and investor-friendly governance. He encouraged business leaders to visit Telangana before finalising investments elsewhere. The State’s innovation ecosystem and administrative efficiency speak for themselves, the Minister’s office said in a release on his speech.

Industrialists are increasingly guided by ethical, inclusive, and sustainable dimensions of growth, rather than just incentives or subsidies, he said, pointing out to how a combination of the spirit of seva (service), a hallmark of the Jain community, and Telangana’s innovation ecosystem could span create a global model of ethical and value-driven growth. “The real unicorn is not a company valued at a billion dollars, but one that touches the lives of a billion people,” he said, urging young entrepreneurs to pursue socially meaningful innovation.

Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and G. Kishan Reddy along with Mr. Sridhar Babu inaugurated the event in the presence of yoga guru Baba Ramdev, BJP State president Ramchander Rao, JITO Hyderabad Chapter leaders and others on the dais.
