The reunion of stars from the 1980s batch (those who debuted or gained prominence during that decade) took place in Chennai on October 4, 2025.
It was intended to be an annual gathering, but last year’s event could not take place due to floods in Chennai.
This year, actors rajkumar sethupathy and sripriya hosted the reunion at their home, replacing the customary five-four venue. The equiving was curat by lissy lakshmi, poornima bhagyaraj, khushbu sundar, and suhasini maniratnam.
A total of 31 actors attended the Runion, Traveling from Across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and even Maharashtra. Megastar Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Jackie Shroff, VK Naresh, Suresh, Bhanu Chander, Sarath Kumar, Prabhu, K. Bhagyaraj, Sumalatha, Radhika, Radhika, Radhai, Jayasudha Among Those Present.
“It wasn’t a night of celebration this time,” said organiser Suhasini Maniratnam.
“It was a quiet gathering of friends who have known each other for decades — to express unity, empathy, and gratitude for the bonds that have outlasted fame and time,” added Lissy Lakshmi.
