Hyderabad: A new Telugu film titled Mawa was launched in Hyderabad with a traditional pooja ceremony, marking an auspicious start to the project. The film features Prem and Vasanthika in the lead roles, with Dalapathi and Rahul playing key characters.
Produced by Venkatesh Balasani under the banner of Venkatesh Movies, Mawa is the production house’s second venture and introduces AR Prabhav as director. The project is said to be mounted on a prestigious scale, promising an emotional yet entertaining story.
At the launch, producer Venkatesh Balasani sounded the first clap while his wife Padma switched on the camera. The honorary direction for the ceremony was handled by executive producer Satya Siriki. The entire team, including the cast and crew, attended the event.
Speaking about the film, director AR Prabhav said that while many films have explored friendship, Mawa will present it from a refreshing new angle. The story revolves around the bond shared among three young men and the emotions that bind them together.
The regular shoot is set to begin in Hyderabad from October 3. The technical crew includes music composer Kalyan Nayak, cinematographer Eshwar Rao, and editor Koti.
The team expressed confidence that Mawa will bring audiences a heartfelt celebration of friendship filled with warmth and relatable emotions.
