Vijayawada: State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Andhra Pradesh, successfully conducted the written examination for the recruitment of 42 assistant public prosecutors (APPs) in the state prosecution department on Sunday. The exam was held at four centres across Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Kurnool and Guntur. The examination was conducted in two sessions paper I in the morning from 10 am to 1 pm, and paper II in the afternoon from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Out of 2,103 candidates who were issued hall tickets, 1,520 candidates appeared for Paper I, registering 72.28% attendance, while 1,494 candidates attended Paper II, with 71.04% attendance. Among the attendees, there were 832 male and 688 female candidates for Paper I.The preliminary answer key for Question Booklet Series A, B, C, and D (Paper I) will be uploaded on the official website www.slprb.ap.gov.in at 12 pm on Monday. Candidates can download the answer key and raise objections, if any, by 5 pm on Wednesday, by sending them to slprbapp@gmail.com in the prescribed format. Objections submitted in any other format will not be considered.To ensure transparency and prevent impersonation, biometric fingerprints of all candidates were captured at the examination centres. The data collected will be used for verification during the interview and final selection stages. For this process, 40 handheld fingerprint scanning devices were deployed, operated by a dedicated IT core team comprising four members, along with four in-charge officers and four nodal officers overseeing the operation.
