It’s been a great few weeks for Samsung firmware fans. The company had only just rolled out the stable version of One UI 8.0 that a leaked build of One UI 8.5 surfaced, allowing fans to get an early look at all of the new features that the company is working on.
There are several changes being worked on for the next major update, and our colleagues at SamMobile’s YouTube channel have now put together a detailed video highlighted what’s changed in One UI 8.5 vs One UI 8.0.
The redesigned Quick Panel is one of the cosmetic changes that pops out the most. Samsung has made it more customizable, with options for resizing toggles, rearranging them more freely, and further adjustments for even the brightness and volume sliders.
Visuals across the AI have been refreshed with cleaner layouts, better gradients, and more contrasts. The lifted icon styles also make the whole UI appear more sleek.
It can’t be a major Samsung update without any Galaxy AI improvements these days. One UI 8.5 brings a smoother editing flow, interface changes for some features, and makes generative edit more useful with the addition of edit history.
Photography and videography fans will appreciate the ability to shoot 8K video at 25fps in Pro Video mode. The clean preview mode allows for distraction-free shooting as well.
All this, and many of the other new features, are highlighted in detail in the video. Do check it out and as always, subscribe to our YouTube channel for more in-depth videos on One UI 8.5.
