Hombale Filmsone of the most happening and successful production houses, has been making even decades-old studios across India jealous with their scale of filmmaking, success, and the goodwill they’ve built. The team posted a warning tweet related to their latest release Kantara Chapter 1, but for some reason, they quickly deleted their press statement. Check out what they had posted below.
TO THE CINEPHILES,
Dhaivaradhane (spirit worship) is the symbol of faith in Tulunadu (the coastal region of Karnataka). It is the pride of the Tulu people. We have showcased a devotional story in the film Kantara and Kantara Chapter-1 that propagates the glory of the daivas (deities) ensuring that the profound respect and unwavering devotion to the daivas are not compromised in the slightest. We have made our contribution in spreading the significance and heritage of Tulu soil to the entire world.
However, the film crew has noticed that some people are imitating the characters from the movie and engaging in inappropriate behaviour everywhere. This is an offence against our faith and so also an unpardonable crime. We will absolutely not tolerate such behaviour. Therefore, we are contemplating to take appropriate legal action against anyone who imitates the Daivas in movie either in theatre or in any public places or gatherings.
