Mahindra’s Next Rugged Electric SUV Spotted – Launch in 2026

Mahindra & Mahindra aims to strengthen its EV portfolio with a range of new ICE-tuned EV and born-electric SUVs in the coming year. While the Xev 9E and be6 are already generating decent sales volumes for the carmaker, the upcoming Mahindra XUV 3XO EV and BE6 Rall-E off-roader are set to hit showrooms in 2026. The frequent sightings of the Mahindra BE 6 Rall-E hint at rigorous testing ahead of its official launch.

What did the Spy Images Reveal?

The spotted test mule was heavily camouflaged covering most of its design details. However, certain design elements such as black wheel arch claddings, green decal, white colour scheme and steel wheels were clearly visible.

Staying True to the Concept

We first saw the BE 6 Rall-E in its concept form at the 2023 Mahindra EV Fashion Festival. It’s essentially the off-road focused version of the BE 6 featuring a heavily-cladded front bumper, C-shaped DRLs, round headlights, rugged tyres, sporty rear bumper and C-shaped taillamps. The showcased concept also carried several accessories such as a spare wheel on the top, roof-mounted carrier and a couple of jerry cans.

Powertrain Details

Official powertrain details of the Mahindra BE 6 Rall E are still under the wraps. However, the electric off-road is expected be offered with a dual electric motor setup and a larger battery pack, delivering an estimated output of around 389bhp (290kW) and 480Nm of torque.

What’s New?

In other updates, Mahindra recently launched three updated SUVs – the Thar 3-door, Bolero and Bolero Neo. All models receive minimal design changes along with significant feature upgrades, while retaining their existing engine setups.

In early 2026, the home-grown automaker will also introduce the Mahindra XUV700 facelift and Mahindra Xev 7e. The updated XUV700 will come with a triple screen setup (borrowed from the XEV 9e), a new sound system, redesigned front grille and headlamps. The forthcoming Mahindra XEV 7e will essentially be the 7-seater version of the XEV 9e, sharing its platform, powertrains, features and several components.
