My Tata Sierra’s stunning photoshoot after a complete restoration! BHPian 123.rishabhrecently shared this with other enthusiasts: Hello Everyone! There is a very small lock that was missed while refitting the belt tensioner (which we could understand after the issue below occurred), and on revving the car, it moved the tensioner forward, which hit the radiator fan. All of the fan blades broke, and a loud thud noise was produced. Some blades hit the bonnet from the inside and created a dent and paint chip, and also some blades hit the radiator and busted the copper pipes. Thankfully, the hood was closed or else this could have lead to a major mishap. Remains of the crank fan Removed the bonnet and took it for repair in my XC60 as i didnt want to leave the ready vehicle at the garage for a week or 2. Bonnet Damage Finding that tiny lock was really tough, but a similar part is present in a swift, so we could source it. Arranged a new crank fan, repaired the radiator, and then waited for the rain gods to stop pouring and then repaired and repainted the bonnet again. Thanks to the stay order on scrapping of old cars in NCR, we got the confidence to shoot the car on public roads, and here is the final outcome Check out BHPian comments for more insights and information.
