Grameen Bharat Mahotsav, an eight day exhibition being organised by NABARD and showcasing the creativity and craftsmanship of artisans, weavers, self-help groups and rural entrepreneurs from across the country got under in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
The 12th in the series, the Grameen Bharat Mahotsav by NABARD’s Telangana Regional Office here inaugurated by Hyderabad Collector Harichandana Dasari, at Kamma Sangham, Ameerpet. A Geographical Indication (GI) pavillion was also inaugurated by the chief guest, the bank said in a release.
The exhibition provides a platform where tradition meets modern markets and empowering rural producers, promoting sustainable livelihoods and creating meaningful connections between artisans and discerning customers across regions. A total of 53 stalls have been set up.
Appreciating the bank for the initiative, Ms. Dasari said NABARD and the National Academy of Construction could work in coordination for skill development in rural areas.
