Five persons were arrested during a joint operation by the cybercrime wing of the Cyberabad police and Special Operations Team (SOT) in connection with an online gaming fraud that duped victims through fake gaming platforms promising high returns.
The Accused Were Identified as Doppalapudi Naveen Kumar, Vankadri Sandeep Kumar, Chintalapati Prudhvi Ramaraju, Chintalapati Pavan Venkata Naga Bharadwaj, and Mamidisetti Ramanjaneyulu.
According to the police, the group supplied bank accounts and SIM cards to a cyber gang operating fraudulent gaming websites. The gang lured unsuspecting users with manipulated game results and fabricated profit display, leading victims to deposit large sums of money. Investigations revealed that the accused were working under the direction of one Sathyanarayana Verma, managing funds through a gaming portal named Dodgebook777, hosted on the Supago website. They reportedly provided more than 120 bank accounts for handling illicit transactions. So far, police have traced around ₹14 lakh in these accounts.
During the operation, the police seized two laptops, 30 mobile phones, 32 cheque books, 23 ATM cards, and 48 SIM cards.

Officials have urged citizens to remain cautious and avoid engaging with unverified online betting or gaming platforms. They also advised the public not to share OTPs, PINs, or bank details with anyone claiming to represent online gaming or investment platforms.
