The Kurnool district police administration has rolled out high-security measures, by deploying 7,300 police personnel for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Kurnool on October 16.
Addressing a review meeting with police officers at the police control room at Orvakal, on Sunday, Superintendent of Police Vikrant briefed the sector officers and liaison officials on the security arrangements, crowd management, and traffic diversions.
The SP said that all the vehicles from Adoni, Emmiganur, and Mantralayam areas will be re-routed via Nagalapuram to the designated parking at Ragamayuri. Traffic from Dhone, Tuggali, Pyapili, and Pattikonda will access parking via the National Highway and Tadakanapalli. Vehicles from Kurnool city will pass Nannur toll gate to reach parking zones, while traffic from Nandyal, Allagadda, and Banaganapalle will use the Nandyal road to reach Ragamayuri parking.
Mr. Patil said that separate parking areas for officials and the public have been arranged with clear signage, and officers are instructed to maintain heightened alert near VIP and VVIP zones.
The SP highlighted the importance of crowd control, traffic management, and coordination. Senior IPS officers Parameshwar Reddy, Devaraj, Madhav Reddy, Deepika Patil, G. Krishnakanth, Krishnakanth Patel, and Additional SPs, DSPs, CIs, RIs, and trainee IPS officers attended the meeting.
