It appears Prabhas has taken a strong liking to the idea of part twos. Ever since the monumental success of the Baahubali franchise, he seems determined to carry forward that magic, announcing sequels for nearly every major film he signs. The interesting part? Most of these sequels are yet to go on floors.
Two follow-ups have already been confirmed: 1) Salaar 2, which is expected to begin filming in 2027 2) Kalki 2898 AD Part 2, slated to commence next year.
Now, fresh buzz suggests that “The Raja Saab” will also end with a teaser for Part 2. The film is currently being shot on a picturesque island in Greece and is scheduled for release on January 9, 2026.
And that’s not all — director Hanu Raghavapudi has confirmed that his upcoming film Fauji is also planned as a franchise, even though the first installment is still in production.
While sequels may guarantee hype and fan excitement, one wonders: Is Prabhas overloading himself with too many franchises at once?
