Early in the season, the Oregon Ducks’ depth was one of the biggest headlines as they rolled through inferior opponents. Even against the Penn State Nittany Lions (who, at this point, also appear to be far inferior) the Ducks’ young talent stood out, as true freshman running backs Dierre Hill Jr. and Jordon Davison contributed in major ways.
Though Davison led the team in rushing yards and fellow true freshman defensive back Brandon Finney recorded a pick-six, Oregon’s depth was not something that stood out in Week 7 as they lost, 30-20, to the Indiana Hoosiers at home. The offense was unable to generate much of anything in the second half while the defense allowed the Hoosiers to march down the field to score a game-leading touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Around the country, however, there are a number of former Duck players and commits playing for different programs. Let’s check out how they fared in Week 7, with several producing standout performances.
