The twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad are set for a digital-era upgrade. Known for the old-world charm of Charminar, Chowmahalla Palace, and the Spanish Mosque, Hyderabad will soon get an “iconic” and modern structure to match its IT city image.
On Saturday, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy asked officials to begin designing ‘T-Square’. Planned at Raidurg — the heart of Hyderabad’s IT hub — a structure is envisioned as “an intersection of entertainment, tourism, food and business,” featuring digital boards and advertisements. Work is expected to begin in November.

The government hopes the project will boost tourism.
“It will be an iconic, unique design for the upcoming T-Square at Raidurg. It will be a vibrant place, and unique designs have been proposed for T-Square, making it an iconic structure and a happening place for Hyderabad,” Chief Minister Reddy said after meetings on the proposal.
“The AI Hub will have a board with world-renowned business personalities and a corpus fund.”
Officials said the aim is to create a digital canvas for Hyderabad, “taking into account the needs of the social media age.”
The government plans to accommodate major global players such as Apple while ensuring seamless vehicular movement. While the new public arena will host entertainment, cultural events, and commercial activities, the chief minister has asked that it be compatible with corporate needs.
According to IT Minister D Sridhar Babu, the idea is to integrate existing AI initiatives and startups and collaborate with global players.

“The state government is already making efforts to create a dedicated AI university to provide AI skill training to students and the workforce,” he said.
