The first time they checked the car for alcohol, drugs, including my 3-year-old’s bag. On the second stop, I told the cop that we were already stopped 2 kms before, he smiled and said ok, sir. The third stop, the cop wanted to check and I refused to get down and told him I have evidence recorded in the dashcam that the car was checked already. Seeing the camera, he let me go. Please note, none of GJ registered cars were stopped at all of these checkpoints.Once back on NH, just gunned it till Udaipur and reached our hotel in 3 hrs flat. Total time taken from Mumbai to Udaipur was 15 hrs, including breaks.Went to Ambrai for dinner and met my cousins (The reason why I chose to go via Udaipur and not via Nasik-Ratlam-DME). Very frustrating drive, longest ever till Udaipur for us.Started from Udaipur at 10:30am. Took Rajasmand-Bhilwara-Jaipur Highway, stopped for Lunch at HivayKing just before climbing the Jaipur RR.Took a U-turn from Bhakrota (now they have an official U-turn under the flyover) and climbed Jaipur RR.Got stuck at the U-turn because of wrong-side traffic blocking trucks. One trucker refused to give way and thankfully, we were out of it sooner than later.It was very smooth and fast till Kalindi Kunj Barrage. Route taken: Udaipur-Rajasmand-Bhilwara-Jaipur RR-DME-148NA-Kalindi Kunj. Total time taken just under 9 hrs.Day-1 Mumbai to Udaipur Avg. Speed: 57 KMPHDay-2 Udaipur to Delhi Avg.
