NTR and director Trivikram Srinivas are set to reunite for a massive mythological drama titled God of War. The film is reportedly based on the legend of Lord Kartikeya, also known as Murugan, revered as the God of War, especially among Tamil devotees, though worshipped by Hindus across India.

Despite his divine significance, Kartikeya’s story has not been explored extensively in mainstream cinema, and Trivikram is said to be diving deep into this untapped narrative.

Rumours had surfaced suggesting that the project might be delayed, given Trivikram has just begun shooting his new film with Venkatesh, and NTR’s “Dragon” with Prashanth Neel is reportedly heading for a late 2026 release.

However, reliable sources confirm that “God of War” is very much on schedule.

NTR will move directly to “God of War” after wrapping up “Dragon” and will not take up any other film in between. Trivikram plans to complete his Venkatesh film by summer 2026 and will immediately shift focus to pre-production for “God of War.”

The film is expected to start rolling from early 2027.
