Big Sad News For 90’s & Early 2K’s Music Lovers

Enjoying music underwent several changes over the decades. From radios to FM stations and from satellite TV channels to online streaming platforms, the way people used to enjoy music has changed drastically. Amid this, a nostalgic memory evokes in many of us when we think about the MTV Music Channels. The saddest news is that these channels are going to go out of existence.

Starting from December 31st, this year, the music channels that are a part of MTV will be shut down. The company has made a statement in view of the same. MTV80, MTV90, MTV Music, and MTV Live are the music channels that will go off the air. Most of the 80s and 90s and even early 2K born could relate to the scenario as they used to tune in to these music channels to check out the chartbusters.

A lot of memories are associated to millennials with these music channels. With the frequent usage of streaming platforms like YouTube, Instagram, Spotify, Gaana, Jio Music, and others, no one is really watching these music channels. The companies also find it difficult to handle them and manage their responsibilities. As a result, they recently underwent a merger with Paramount Skydance.

Now, the operations will get suspended permanently. So, it finally means the end of an era.
