Vijayawada: Deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan directed officials to ensure that the upcoming Palle Pandaga 2.0 drives village-level development comparable to urban standards. Chairing a review meeting with senior officials of the panchayat raj and rural development department on Tuesday, he emphasised that the new phase should build upon the success of the first Palle Pandaga and bring a visible transformation to Andhra Pradesh‘s rural landscape.Pawan Kalyan instructed officials to prioritise infrastructure projects such as road development, repairs, cow shelters, and the construction of magic drains, ensuring comprehensive progress in every village. He stressed that these initiatives should reflect the govt’s commitment to uplifting the quality of life in rural areas and bridging the gap between villages and cities.The meeting, held at the deputy CM’s camp office, was attended by special chief secretary Shashibhushan Kumar, commissioner Krishna Teja, OSD Venkata Krishna, and chief engineer Balu Nayak, along with other senior officials.With Palle Pandaga 2.0, the govt aims to renew the spirit of rural development and make Andhra Pradesh’s villages models of sustainable growth and modern living.
