Triumph Speed 400 and Speed T4 prices cut ahead of festive season

Triumph Motorcycles has announced price cuts for its Speed 400 and Speed T4 models in India. The move comes soon after the beginning of the festive season and the implementation of the new Goods and Services Tax (GST) on motorcycles with a capacity of more than 350 cc. Although the brand had opted to bear the increased prices due to GST reforms, the company has now made additional price cuts to further increase the brand’s reach, sales and customer base this festive season.

The new price of Speed 400 is now Rs 2,33,754 (previously Rs 2,50,551), while the Speed T4 is now available at Rs 1,92,539 (previously Rs 2,06,738). With these price changes, benefits will be up to Rs.16,797 depending on the model chosen.

By choosing to bear the additional tax burden, Triumph Motorcycles and Bajaj Auto Limited aim to reassure their potential buyers about their customer-first approach, as well as their commitment to deliver value-focused models without compromising on quality or performance. With this approach, it can be assumed that Triumph has been successful in attracting the attention of those who were planning to buy a motorcycle in this segment. Triumph’s 400 cc range has recorded consistent positive growth in terms of sales since its launch.

Commenting on the announcement, Manik Nangia, President, Probiking, Bajaj Auto Limited, said, “The Speed 400 and Speed T4 have set new benchmarks in terms of performance, design and accessibility. Understanding the impact and by cutting prices, Triumph and Bajaj Auto are focusing their attention on the Indian market and its customers, ensuring that the Speed range continues to deliver unmatched value. We have seen monthly sales almost double, and a strong surge in demand ahead of the GST changes, which clearly reflects the confidence and aspiration of customers towards Triumph. We are confident that we will maintain this momentum going forward.”
