BHPian wooka recently shared this with other enthusiasts: Test drove the VF6 today and checked out the VF7 as well. Had I been in the market for a larger car, the VF7 would have been it. However, at that price, I’d lean towards the XEV 9E pack 2 80KW model. The VF6 I drove was the base model. The pickup was sufficient, leading one to believe that the Wind (top) model would be much quicker. The car seemed well put together. I double checked both cars’ boots for spare tyre capability, which I am glad to say, exists. The HUD was crisp. The dealership has promised that the non-Infinity (glass roof) versions will arrive in about 3-4 weeks. If I were to take the Infinity version, a vehicle could be arranged in 2 weeks flat. I made a second booking with VinFast right there. For reference, this is the one at Okhla, Delhi. I picked grey cause white seemed like another taxi, is all. Red, green and black are the only metallic shades on offer. The biggest news atop all of this is that they’re offering a 60-70k discount above and beyond the current prices. How? I believe a disclaimer has to be signed to not avail free charging at their network (which doesn’t exist), and they’ve promised to provide a written note by tomorrow to this effect. The wall charger is a single-phase ~7.x KW unit, which I will probably skip, priced at 45K INR. Provided I can find a good tax-free RTO to get this registered, I see my landing costs at 17.7L – Discount (70k) + RTO (10k) + Insurance (35k, 3+1 years, Zero dep, battery cover, RSA) = 17.45L on-road.
