Indian cricket team member KL Rahul recently took delivery of the luxury MPV MG M9. The MG M9 was launched by the company on July 21, 2025 at a price of Rs.69.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and is sold through the company’s premium dealership network MG Select along with the company’s first two-seater sports car in India, the MG Cybster EV. The MG M9 offers a great package of comfort and luxury in electric avatar.

exterior design
MG M9 is available in three different colours, Pearl Luster White, Metal Black and Concrete Grey. The exterior design of the MG M9 is unique, with a bold trapezoidal mesh grille that reflects its modern presence. The split LED headlights and connected DRLs give it a sharp and sophisticated front look. At the rear, the waterfall-style integrated LED taillight design ensures a unique and beautiful identity. The vehicle gets stylish 19-inch ContiSeal (self-sealing) tyres, while heated ORVMs ensure clear visibility in varying weather conditions.

The cabin of MG M9 features 16-way adjustment, 8 massage settings, heating and ventilation. It also gets a yacht-style dual sunroof and 64-color ambient lighting that helps passengers create the perfect mood for every journey. Other features include “Ottoman”/Presidential seats in the second row, Boss Mode, which allows mid-row passengers to electrically adjust the front seats forward, giving rear passengers more legroom, and a 13-speaker sound system (including subwoofer and amplifier).
MG M9 Battery and Powertrain
The MG M9 is powered by a 90-kWh NMC battery that produces 245 hp and 350 Nm of torque respectively, and a claimed range of 548 km. The brand offers an 11-kW wall box charger with standard installation and a 3.3-kW portable charger for the electric MPV. Additionally, there is also a lifetime warranty on HV battery and 3 years/unlimited km vehicle warranty for the first owner.
It is worth noting that MG M9 is becoming very popular among celebrities due to its large space and comfortable features, before KL Rahul, veteran actress Hema Malini and film producer Karan Johar have also bought MG M9.
Talking about KL Rahul, he was recently a part of the Test team that played at home against West Indies, where he scored a brilliant century in the first Test. Apart from this, he is also a part of the India vs Australia One Day series starting from 19 October 2025. This series will be played on Australian soil.
