Nelly Korda plans to return to the LPGA in time to defend her title at the The Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican, an event she has won three times. The Annika’s early commitment list includes the former No. 1 along with 2024 runner-up Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson, 2023 champion Lilia Vu and Brooke Henderson.
The penultimate event on the 2025 schedule, The Annika will take place Nov. 13-16 at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida.
The LPGA announced on Oct. 5 that Korda, 27, had withdrawn from next week’s Hanwha Lifeplus International Crown due to injury, and Yealimi Noh replaced her on the four-player roster for Team USA.
The news came one day after Korda told Golf Channel’s Tom Abbott during the Lotte Championship broadcast that she was playing the Crown. Still winless this season, Korda tied for fourth in Oahu.
Thompson announced last year that she was stepping away from a full-time schedule on the LPGA and will make her 12th start of 2025 at Pelican. She currently ranks 51st on the CME points list and is in good shape to qualify for the season-ending event at Tiburon. Thompson has twice finished runner-up at Pelican.
Other top-ranked players currently not listed in the field include No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul, No. 3 Minjee Lee and No. 4 Lydia Ko.
Tournament officials have announced that all military personnel (active, reserve, retired and veterans) as well as all first responders (fire, police and emergency medical service personnel) and one guest will receive complimentary admission to the event, including access to exclusive hospitality venues on the 12th and 16th holes.
Children 17 and under also will be admitted free with a paid adult.
