Siddhu Jonnalagadda started off his career with regular characters and tested his luck with guy-next-door roles. However, his career graph changed entirely when he did DJ Tillu. Siddhu was able to create a space for himself with the Tillu character and also found his fan base. But the impact of Tillu is such that people wanted him to come out of that hangover, which was not seen in his last film, Jack.
Despite working hard, Siddhu could not remind the audience that he had come out of the Tillu hangover. However, Telusu Kada looks like a good option for the actor in eliminating the Tillu image for some time. Telusu Kada also projects Siddhu as a guy next door with some radical thoughts. But it is a welcoming move for Siddhu’s career at the moment.
Siddhu Jonnalagadda took the Tillu madness to the next level with Tillu Square. His brief appearance in Mister Bachchan also reminded everyone of Tillu. In Jack, Siddhu played a lover boy, but the Tillu shades dominated his performance, and people are also not able to unsee the Tillu in Siddhu.
Going by the trailer of Telusu Kada, it is pretty clear that Siddhu does not have any shades of Tillu in him. The bold romantic drama brings out the radical side of a human being rather than playing a subtle, funny entertainer.
With his last film, Siddhu even faced criticism for taking a big paycheck and encountering failure. Siddhu had to take a loan to give back his remuneration. He still has a debt that he has to pay, based on the commercial success that he meets with upcoming films. In such a scenario, Telusu Kada must do two things for him.
The first thing is to prove to everyone that Siddhu’s market is intact and one failure can not drastically impact his career graph. Having said that, Telusu Kada must also erase the Tillu in Siddhu for the benefit of audiences, so that people would love to get entertained seeing more of Siddhu on the screen.
