Two-wheeler manufacturers certainly have some reason to celebrate the start of the new festive season, as almost all manufacturers have reported growth in sales till September 2025. Royal Enfield recorded its best ever total sales in the history of the brand with sales of over 1.24 lakh units last month. Meanwhile, Hero MotoCorp maintained its position as India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer with sales of over 6.87 lakh units. The brand also celebrated crossing the manufacturing milestone of 12.50 crore two-wheelers this month.

Hero MotoCorp

Hero MotoCorp recorded total two-wheeler sales of 687,220 units last month, up 8% compared to the same period last year. Sales in the domestic market stood at 6,47,582 units, while exports reached 39,638 vehicles – an all-time high for the brand.
The company also shared VAHAN data for this month, which revealed that 3,23,230 registrations have been completed by September 2025 – an increase of 19% year-on-year. The company also celebrated completing the milestone of manufacturing 125 million units.
The company attributed its strong sales to the festive season and revised GST 2.0 rates, which ‘more than doubled’ the number of footfalls at dealerships compared to last year.
Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India

Honda 2 Wheelers shipped a total of 5,68,164 units till September 2025, which is 5% higher than August 2025, though lower than 5,83,633 units shipped in the same month last year. Domestic shipment stood at 5,05,693 units, which is less than last year’s 5,36,391 units. Exports this month were 62,471 units, which reached 47,242 units recorded in September 2024.
The slowdown in domestic sales is also clearly visible in the financial year so far data, with 26,79,507 units sold in the period April to September 2025 – which is less than 28,81,419 units shipped in the same six-month period last year. However, exports increased from 2,76,958 units in H1FY2025 to 3,11,517 units in H1FY2026.
TVS Motor Company

TVS Motor Company recorded total two-wheeler sales of 5,23,923 units last month, which is 11% higher than 4,71,792 units in the same period last year. Sales in the domestic market stood at 4,13,279 units, up 12% compared to the same period last year, while exports grew by 8% at 1,10,644 units. The company’s sales of electric vehicles also increased by 8% from 28,901 units to 31,266 units.
TVS also said that the second quarter of FY 2026 (July to September 2025) was the best quarter so far with wholesale sales of 15.07 lakh units. This included 14.54 lakh two-wheelers and 0.38 lakh three-wheelers. Total exports increased by 30% to 4 lakh units in this quarter.
Bajaj Auto

Bajaj sold a total of 4,30,853 units by the end of September 2025 – an increase of 8% compared to the same month last year. Sales in the domestic market increased by about 5% to 2,73,188 units from 2,59,333 units in September 2024, while exports increased by 12% to 1,57,665 units.
Overall, Bajaj reports sales of 5,10,504 units, including commercial vehicles, by September 2025 – a growth of 9% year-on-year. Total domestic sales stood at 3,25,252 units, while exports stood at 1,85,252 units.
Bajaj’s domestic two-wheeler sales in FY 2026 were lower than FY 2025, where 11,25,920 units were sold compared to 12,19,298 units last year. However, exports increased by 17% to 8,91,858 units from 7,64,827 units. Overall (including commercial vehicles), Bajaj sales were down 6% compared to H1FY25, although a 20% increase in exports in the same six-month period meant that total shipments for FY26 were up 4% year-on-year.
Royal Enfield

Royal Enfield recorded its best ever monthly cumulative sales in September 2025 with sales of 1,24,328 units – a growth of 43% compared to last year’s cumulative dispatches of 86,978 units. Domestic wholesale sales stood at 1,13,573 units – up 43% over last year, while exports grew 41% to 10,755 units from 7,653 units.
The fiscal year-to-date data also painted a strong picture with cumulative sales growth of 30% year-on-year in the April to September period. Cumulative sales till the end of September stood at 5,91,903 units, of which 5,21,482 units were sold in the domestic market – a growth of 27% year-on-year. Meanwhile, cumulative exports stood at 70,421 units, up 60% from 43,937 units in the corresponding six-month period last year.
Suzuki Motorcycle India

Suzuki Motorcycle India reported cumulative sales of 1,23,550 units in September 2025 – a growth of 25% year-on-year. Sales in the domestic market stood at 1,05,886 units this month – which is 37% higher than the 77,263 units recorded in September last year.
However, exports declined year-on-year from 21,922 units in September 2024 to 17,664 units in 2025. The company has not disclosed its year-on-year sales figures for fiscal year 2026.
