Hyderabad: The Telangana high court on Wednesday adjourned to Nov 18 the hearing of a batch of appeals filed by the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) and candidates who qualified in the Group-I Mains examination.The appellants have challenged a single judge’s order that had stayed the declaration of mains results after unsuccessful candidates sought additional time to file their counters. During the hearing, counsels representing the candidates informed the bench comprising Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh and Justice GM Mohiuddin that some candidates had yet to file their written submissions as directed in the court’s previous order dated Sept 24. That order had granted an interim stay on the single judge’s ruling, permitting the commission to proceed with appointments subject to the final outcome of the appeal. Taking note of the submissions, the bench extended the interim stay and adjourned the matter to the next date of hearing. Earlier, the single judge had set aside the final marks list and merit list relating to the Group-I Mains examination conducted by TGPSC, directing the commission to undertake a revaluation of all answer scripts of the qualified candidates.
