The all-new Renault Boreal SUV made its global debut in July 2025. It’s essentially the 7-seater version of the new-gen Duster and will be exclusively sold in 71 markets including Brazil, Latin America, Europe and more. The SUV is now all set to go on sale in Brazil on 4th November, and pre-bookings have already commenced ahead of its official launch. The Boreal lineup will be offered in three trim levels – Evolution, Techno and Iconic.
When it will come to India?
Renault has confirmed a premium three-row SUV for the Indian market. Based on the Duster, this new 7-seater SUV is expected to arrive within 6 or 12 months after the launch of its 5-seater counterpart. The next-gen Renault Duster is slated to hit showrooms in the first half of 2026, while its 7-seater is expected to arrive in late 2026 or early 2027. Once launched, the 7-seater Renault Duster will take on the Mahindra XUV700, Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and Hyundai Alcazar.
Engine Options
The Renault Boreal will share its powertrains with the Duster. In India, this 7-seater SUV is likely to be offered with two petrol engines – a 1.3L turbo and a 1.2L mild hybrid. A strong hybrid variant will join the lineup at a later stage. In Brazil, the Boreal will be introduced with a 1.3L TCe turbo flex powertrain, generating power worth 163bhp and 269.6Nm.
Transmission choices will include a manual and an automatic unit. The SUV will offer four driving modes – Eco, Comfort, Sport and Smart, and five terrain modes – Snow, Mud/Sand, Off-Road, Eco and Auto.
Colour Options
In the Brazilian market, the Boreal will be offered in six colour options – Mercure Blue, Etoile Silver, Glacier White, Nacre Black, Cassiopee Gray and Feu Red.
