Union minister Kishan Reddy warns Hyderabad voters against Congress-AIMIM nexus | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: Union minister G Kishan Reddy on Thursday asserted that the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election could be a turning point in Telangana politics. Meeting booth presidents and party workers from the Erragadda division, he said the by-election has sparked widespread discussion across the state, though no one wanted it.“It was necessitated by the unfortunate demise of the local legislator. The BRS, which ruled for ten years, and the Congress, which has been around for decades, have done little for this constituency,” he said. Kishan Reddy accused the ruling Congress of neglecting Jubilee Hills, pointing to unresolved drainage problems and rampant garbage. He further alleged that the AIMIM is effectively controlling the administration, leaving the Congress as a nominal ruler. Highlighting safety and property concerns, he claimed many homes in the Old City were vacated due to the actions of Majlis supporters. He said that historically, BRS, Congress, and MIM leaders have governed the state while prioritising family and personal gain over public welfare. The minister warned that the Congress-AIMIM alliance is attempting to wrest control of Jubilee Hills. “Just as KCR (former CM) once relied on AIMIM, the Congress is now carrying them on its shoulders. These three parties are united in opposing the BJP and protecting their own interests,” he said. He urged voters not to hand over the constituency to the Majlis party, emphasising that BJP representation is needed to safeguard local interests and bring tangible development to Jubilee Hills.
