We took the Porur bypass from Tambaram to check how the vehicle behaves at highway speeds. My wife, kid (6.5 yr old) and father-in-law tried the last row and middle row seats during the drive of approx. 40km. The car behaved extremely well at triple digit highway speeds and lane changes were effortless. Gearshifts of the 6 speed AT were seamless except for a slight delay in downshift when flooring the accelerator. Much has been said about Citroen’s renowned suspension tuning and we too feel the same. Since this is a road stretch that I frequently use in our Nexon, I specifically wanted to test it on the known craters, uneven expansion joints etc to see how different it feels than the Nexon and we could clearly feel the difference. Kudos to Citroen for providing a suspension setup that gobbles up undulations at ease without compromising on high speed vehicle dynamics. On the whole, we are very happy with the Aircross X for what it offers as a package at this price point, and we’ll be booking it in the coming days. I should also thank the sales executive of VTK Citroen for arranging the test drive as per my request and route preference.
