Telangana State Director General of Police (DGP) B. Shivdhar Reddy on Saturday ordered a manhunt for the suspect involved in the murder of Constable E. Pramod, who was serving with the Nizamabad Central Crime Station (CCS).

The constable, aged 42, was reportedly stabbed to death on the night of October 17 by an accused involved in a vehicle theft and chain-snatching cases.
The DGP expressed grief over the death of Pramod, describing him as a sincere and dedicated officer. Soon after receiving information that the suspect, identified as Sheikh Riyad, was on the run, DGP Reddy instructed the Nizamabad Police Commissioner P. Sai Chaitanya to form special teams to trace and arrest him without delay.
He also directed Multi Zone-I IGP Chandrasekhar Reddy to visit the scene and oversee the investigation. The DGP further asked officers to visit the constable’s family and ensure that all necessary support is extended to them.
