The second generation Hyundai Venue will be launched in India on November 4.

Based on pictures of the testing model, the new Venue seems to take some styling inspiration from cars like the Exeter and Alcazar, with a layered front fascia design with a high-set light bar and a wide rectangular grille with the main headlights at the bottom. The highlight of the Venue’s design will be the daytime running light signatures, which feature not only along the lightbar, but also as secondary elements within the lower main headlight units, which essentially bracket the SUV’s fascia. At the rear, the SUV will have new-look tail lamps that will be equipped with a connecting lightbar. The video of the testing model has also confirmed that the most expensive variant will get sequential turn signals.

A lot of changes will be seen in the cabin as compared to the current model. This SUV will have a curved display above the dashboard, which will have a central touchscreen and digital instrument cluster. Talking about the features, it is expected that Hyundai will leave no stone unturned with auto climate control, connected car features, powered driver seat, ventilated front seats, sunroof and many other features. The Venue may also have Level 2 ADAS technology.

Talking about engines, the new Venue will be offered with the same three existing engines – a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol in the lower variants, a 1.5-litre diesel engine and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, which will likely be available as standard in the most expensive trim level of the standard SUV and the N-Line. Gearbox options are expected to include both manual and automatic units for all three engines.

When launched, the new Venue will compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Skoda Kailak.
