Two men from Odisha who were transporting over 16 kilograms of ganja to Mumbai-based traders, were arrested by the officials from Telangana Excise and Prohibition department in Secunderabad.

The State Task Force (STF) C team intercepted the accused near Alpha Hotel and seized three bags containing the contraband, valued at around ₹8 lakh.

The accused, identified as Murali Nayak and Kala Charan, procured the ganja from a supplier from Odisha and travelled to Hyderabad by Konark Express. Police said the duo was waiting near the hotel to hand over the consignment to local traders when they were apprehended.

The seized ganja and the arrested individuals were handed over to the Secunderabad excise station for further investigation.
