Ultraviolette has launched the X47 crossover, an electric adventure motorcycle based on the ‘X’ concept presented at EICMA 2024. The motorcycle is priced at Rs 2.49 lakh for the first 1,000 buyers, after which it will be available at Rs 2.74 lakh (ex-showroom). Booking has started now, for which a token amount of Rs.999 will have to be paid and the delivery will start from October 2025.
At a glance it appears that the X47 has taken a lot of design cues from the Concept

It has a raked tail section with beak-style fenders and cast aluminum sub-frame.

This electric motorcycle is available in three colors: red, white and black.

The model shown here is the special edition Desert Wing variant, which comes with a beige-silver color scheme and also includes additional accessories as standard.

The booking amount for this variant has been set at Rs.5,000, although the price has not been revealed yet.

The X47 is available with two battery packs: 7.1 kWh and 10.3 kWh. The 10.3 kWh variant has a range of up to 323 km (IDC), while the 7.1 kWh entry-level variant offers a range of up to 211 km (IDC).

Power figures are 40.2 bhp and 100 Nm of torque, while the Ultraviolette can accelerate from 0-60 kmph in 2.7 seconds, 0-100 kmph in 8.1 seconds and comes with a claimed top speed of 145 kmph.

The X47 also features a UV HyperSense rider assist system, which uses a 77 GHz rear-facing radar with a 150-degree field of view, capable of identifying blind spots and tracking objects up to 200 metres.

Features include narrow lane detection, object tracking, blind spot detection with overtake alert, lane change assist and rear collision warning.

This electric motorcycle comes with 1080p front and rear cameras, which also work as dashcams.

There is a secondary touchscreen above the 5.0-inch TFT display, which is used to show and save footage. There is 32 GB of onboard storage (expandable up to 256 GB).

The dashcam unit also has WiFi, Bluetooth, an integrated microphone, and an anti-theft mechanical mount.

Charging is managed by a 1.6kW onboard system, eliminating the need for a portable charger.

The suspension setup includes a 41 mm upside-down fork with gold finish and a rear monoshock with 170 mm travel. The bike has a ground clearance of 200 mm and rides on alloy wheels shod with radial all-terrain tyres.

Braking is handled by a 320 mm front disc with four-piston callipers and sintered pads, and a 230 mm rear disc, supported by switchable dual-channel ABS.

Other rider assists include dynamic stability control, three ride modes (glide, combat, ballistic), three-level traction control, hill-hold assist and 9 levels of regenerative braking.

The curb weight for the 10.3 kWh model is 207 kg and for the 7.1 kWh variant is 203 kg.
