Did a long drive in my Clavis EV: Efficiency & charging experience

Did a long drive in my Clavis EV: Efficiency & charging experience BHPian VindyWheels recently shared this with other enthusiasts: Did my second long drive from Goa to Coorg, Wayanad, Kannur, Kollur and back. It was a fantastic experience. Instead of the EV restricting the distance travelled, we had the opposite experience – the first day’s halt was planned for Mangalore, but we felt so fresh that we proceeded to Coorg after one more recharge at Kia Mangalore. AC was off during the Wayanad Coorg stretch, roughly around 15% of the 1400+ kms driven. Had fun gliding down the lovely Mananthavady-Kannur ghats just using the regen paddle shifters. The chargers were available as planned, never had to use any backup option, zero range anxiety this time with destination slow AC chargers at 3 of the stays and a fast charger at one hotel. Also found a great restaurant at Kundapura, Shrreyas Inn – good parking, 60 KW charger, good washrooms and great seafood. Many homestays and resorts have 15-AMP sockets, wish there was better mapping of such stays. Sylvan Resorts at Kalpetta was amazing, with two 20-AMP sockets in the parking, and the stay was great too. I had to use a cushion with the seat set to the lowest level to sit comfortably over the long drive. Have to find a better solution to increase the seat height. Today, did a night drive to Dabolim, a round trip where I tried for max efficiency. Never crossed 80 kmh, AC was at 25.5 all the time with lights and air purifier on. Two people on board. Used the regen paddle shifters to actively adjust the regen. Some other fellow owners find autoregen the most efficient, but I guess in a place like Goa with too many ups and downs, the autoregen is not optimal, as it adjusts based on traffic conditions only and not the gradient.
