Thamma, Rashmika Mandanna’s third Hindi film of 2025, opened to strong numbers despite mixed talk. The actress played a vampire for the first time in her career. After delivering the blockbuster “Chhaava” earlier this year, this marks her final Bollywood release of 2025.
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film stars Ayushmann Khurrana and blends vampire romance with Indian Betal folklore.
On day one, Thamma collected Rs 25.11 crore nett in India. The festive season and initial buzz helped the film register superb openings.
While audiences appreciated the performances and songs, critics pointed out weak pacing and diluted horror elements. Despite the negative reviews, the film’s box-office run over the weekend will decide its fate.
