4 Most Awaited SUVs of 2025

Just a couple of months from now, and we will step into a brand-new year. These remaining months are set to witness 4 major SUV launches from Hyundai, Kia, Tata and Mahindra. Hyundai Motor India has confirmed that the next-generation Venue will go on sale on 4th November, while the much-awaited Tata Sierra will hit showrooms in mid or last weeks of November. The new-generation Kia Seltos is also rumoured to debut later in 2025, with its market launch in early 2026. Mahindra & Mahindra might introduce the XEV 7e 7-seater electric SUV in December 2025. New Hyundai Venue

Bookings for the new-gen Hyundai Venue have commenced at a token amount of Rs 25,000. The SUV lineup will come in 12 new HX variants, with petrol NA, turbo-petrol and diesel engine options. Dimensionally, the 2025 Hyundai Venue is taller, wider and more spacious than its current generation.

The overall design and styling are heavily inspired by the Creta, and it gets new Hazel Blue and Mystic Sapphire exterior colours. The all-new Venue offers Creta like dual 12.3-inch curved panoramic displays along with ambient lighting, 4-way electrically adjustable driver seat and more.

Tata Sierra

The iconic Tata Sierra nameplate is all set to make a comeback in the coming weeks. It’s one of the much-waited upcoming new SUVs in India. The all-new Sierra will be offered with three engine options – petrol, diesel and electric. The petrol version will initially be introduced with an all-new 1.5L naturally aspirated engine, which will later be joined by the 1.5L turbo petrol engine. The diesel Sierra might borrow the 2.0L engine from the Nexon, while the Sierra EV might share its powertrains with the Harrier EV.

New Kia Seltos

The second-generation Kia Seltos is reported to debut in late 2025. The SUV will feature Kia’s new ‘Opposite United’ design language and feature a new grille, slim and angular vertical DRLs and redesigned foglamps at the front end. The side and rear profiles will also receive significant changes. The interior might be upgraded with the triple screens (borrowed from the Syros) and several new features. However, the engine setup will remain unchanged.

Mahindra XEV 7e

The Mahindra XEV 7e will share its platform, powertrains, design elements and features with the XEV 9e. However, it will feature a three-row seating arrangement. This electric SUV is likely to come with the 59kWh and 79kWh battery packs, paired with 231bhp and 286bhp electric motors, respectively. Its driving range is expected to be over 500km for the smaller battery pack and nearly 650km for the larger battery pack version. The XEV 7e will support DC fast charged of up to 175kWh.
