The next edition of the Ducati Monster has been revealed. The 2026 version of the naked bike is powered by a new 890cc V2 engine. The new Monster is based on an aluminium monocoque chassis and a trellis subframe suspended by a 43 mm Showa upside-down fork in the front and a double-sided swingarm with a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. Braking is handled by twin 320 mm discs in the front and a 245 mm rear disc. The 890cc V2 engine also does duty on the Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2. It produces 109 BHP @ 9,000 rpm and 91.1 Nm @ 7,250 rpm, with 80% of the torque available from 4,000 to 10,000 rpm. There are two variants on offer: Monster and Monster Plus, with the latter getting a rear seat cowl and a flyscreen. The bike gets a redesigned fuel tank, new side panels, and dual exhausts. It also has a new seat set at a height of 815 mm. In terms of tech, the new Monster comes equipped with a 5-inch TFT display and a six-axis IMU, offering cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, and engine braking control. Other features include a bidirectional quickshifter, cruise control, turn-by-turn navigation and four riding modes: Sport, Road, Urban and Wet.
