BHPian shyamg28 recently shared this with other enthusiasts: My wife and I flew to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Took a taxi to reach a bus stand, took a bus to reach another bus stand, took a tuk-tuk to reach a pier, took a ferry to reach an island, took a tuk-tuk to reach a hotel. 24 hours from Bangalore, we finally had access to our first hotel room, an A/C, a comfortable bed, and a hotel shower. Ok, also a pool and an ocean, if that helps. This is an island named Koh Rong, and as I’d find out later that night, it’s quite a party scene! Even puppers have passed out. We then went back to Phnom Penh and picked up our rental motorcycle – a Keeway TXM200. A supermoto style, compact yet comfortable, can-do-90kph, has-your-pillion-hanging-on-you-like-betal, motorcycle. It was available for $18/day. V/s the CFMoto 450 MT, for a whopping $85/day. As much as I wanted to rent it, I am (was) sincerely hoping it comes to India soon. I really did appreciate its size. It’s formidable, yet unintimidating. Seems the appropriately sized motorcycle for touring in a country like ours (India). Retractable gear lever. I really appreciate these small touches. Retractable brake lever. Easy visor adjustment. Folding mirrors. Adjustable in many ways. OE saddle stays. Our Keeway TXM200, for the next few days. We were using Rynox Expedition saddlebags. Waterproof. About 60L of storage. At night we headed out to the nearby marketplace and park. We then head from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. The famous Angkor Wat! We reached late evening, checked in, and headed towards Pub Street, where a very pleasant surprise lay ahead of us. Pub Street. An ancient Land Rover was spotted. The pleasant surprise – we found a dosa place, Lotus Dosa Corner Indian Restaurant! The surprise wasn’t the restaurant, but what we found inside – walls adorned with pictures of the same two gentlemen, in all imaginable places of this world, you name it. The really, really shocking thing – they have done 7 round-the-world trips. Not 1, not 2 – SEVEN! The next morning, we would be blown away even more – Angkor Wat! Words cannot describe! We happened upon a tuk-tuk rider who was also a guide. He could speak decent English and was able to explain a lot about the places we visited.
