If reports are to be believed, Vidya Balan is all set to join Rajinikanth in “Jailer 2.” The film is being helmed by Nelson Dilip Kumar’s after the massive success of “Jailer” and this sequel has new addition of cast members. Vidya Balan is reportedly playing a key role in Jailer 2.
From Vidya Balan’s perspective, this project is particularly special. “Jailer 2” is expected to give her a meaty, performance-driven role in a major Tamil commercial entertainer. Vidya reportedly plays the elder daughter of the film’s main antagonist.
Known for portraying strong and nuanced women on screen, Vidya Balan seems to be taking a calculated step into Tamil cinema’s mainstream space.
“Jailer 2” will feature Rajinikanth in the title role. Ramya Krishna will continue playing his wife’s role.
