Director of the Meteorological Centre in Jaipur, Radheshyam Sharma, said that several parts of Rajasthan recorded heavy to very heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours due to the combined impact of Cyclone Montha over the Bay of Bengal, a depression over the Arabian Sea, and another system over northwestern India.
He said, “Nainwa in Bundi recorded 130 mm of rainfall, while Kotra in Bhilwara received 117 mm.” Kota, Udaipur, and Sawai Madhopur also experienced heavy rain, with more showers expected today in Udaipur, Ajmer, Kota, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions. From November 3, light rainfall is likely in Jodhpur, Bikaner, and the Shekhawati region, he added.
