Honda 0 Alpha Electric SUV Breaks Cover

The Honda 0 α (Honda 0 Alpha) electric SUV concept has made its global debut at the ongoing Japan Mobility Show 2025 in Tokyo. It’s one of the prototypes representing the Honda 0 Series, which also includes the Honda 0 SALOON and Honda 0 SUV.

The production-ready version of the Honda 0 Alpha EV will make its way to India via CBU (Completely Built-up Unit) route in 2027. Interestingly, India will serve as a production hub for the 0 α SUV for both domestic and export markets.

Honda 0 α SUV – Rivals & Price Expectations

Once launched, the new Honda 0 Alpha electric SUV will compete with models such as the Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv EV and the upcoming Maruti and Vitara and Tata Sierra EV. Considering its rivals, the new Honda EV is estimated to be priced around Rs 25 lakh for the base variant, and nearly Rs 30 lakh for the top-spec variant.

Honda 0 α SUV – Design & Details

Honda says that the showcased concept is close to the production model, which means most of its design elements will be retained. The electric SUV features Honda’s new “Thin, Light and Wise” design language and carries upright stance. Upfront, it has a black grille with a LED strip running across the top and an illuminated Honda logo in the centre. A charging port can also be seen on the side.

Honda 0 Alpha India Launch

Design elements include pronounced wheel arches, aero-designed 19-inch, 5-spoke alloy wheels, sharply raked front and rear windscreens, U-shaped taillamps running across the rear windscreen, a small boot spoiler and a large faux bash plate on the rear bumper further enhance its futuristic looks.

Honda 0 α SUV – Battery, Range & Power

Official powertrain details of the Honda 0 Alpha electric SUV are yet to be revealed. However, the model is likely to come with multiple battery pack options ranging between 65kWh – 75kWh. Initially, it could be offered with a single electric motor and FWD (front-wheel drive) configuration.
