Revanth Reddy to Conduct Aerial Survey in Flood-Hit Areas in Warangal, Husnabad


Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy here on Thursday said that he would conduct an aerial survey in Warangal and Husnabad on Friday to study the damage caused due to the impact of cyclone Montha.

Though the visit to Warangal on Thursday has been postponed due to weather conditions, the Ministers in-charge of the cyclone-affected districts should be available at the field level. They should visit the field level and be available to the people from time to time to help the people.

Reviewing the flood situation with senior officials here, Revanth Reddy said the State government was ready to help the people and the administration in the affected districts was leaving no stone unturned in helping them. Revanth Reddy ordered to intensify relief efforts for flood victims in Warangal.

He asked the Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao and Director-General of Police B Shivadhar Reddy, who were also present at the meeting, to immediately send boats along with the SDRF personnel to the flood-hit areas for taking relief and rescue operations.

The HYDRA personnel and flood relief equipment available with it should also be used wherever necessary. The people in the flooded areas should be immediately evacuated to a safe place and the families trapped on the roofs of houses and bungalows should be provided with drinking water and food packets through drones.
