BHPian mpksuhas recently shared this with other enthusiasts: Bangalore – Trivandrum – 18 Oct Being start of Deepawali weekend, wanted to cross Salem as early as possible. Started from home at HSR layout at 03.35 AM. Attibele toll was suprisingly empty, took Hosur exit and joined NH844. Multiple sections around Rayakotai & Palacode is still closed, however the completed sections are free of traffic and well lighted. Reached NH44, only to be greeted by traffic jam around Thoppur. From here till Salem was slow, however thankfully no blockages as such. Stopped for breakfast at Hotel Aarthi past Karur and also filled up at IOCL COCO next to that. Took around 20 mins break (08.07 AM- 08.33 AM). Past that took a 15 mins break at Nila Bakery at Valliyur between 11.50 AM to 12.05 PM. Past that, got on to Nagercoil byepass and then the slow section between Nagercoil and Parashala. Reached place of stay near East fort Trivandrum at 02.20 PM.
